Appel à contributions : Online Student Conference of the Society for East Asian Archaeology
Call for Papers
for the Online Student Conference of the
Society for East Asian Archaeology
26-28 June 2021
The Society for East Asian Archaeology (SEAA) is pleased to announce that the Online Student Conference will be jointly hosted by SEAA and Kyungpook National University (KNU), on June 26-28, 2021.
Since the situation has gotten worse regarding the virus, the SEAA executive and KNU have come to the conclusion that we will need to postpone the 9th SEAA Worldwide conference until the summer of 2022. This must be disappointing to all of us, but we do have rather breezing news. As a ‘prelude’ for the 2022 SEAA 9 conference, and to promote the training and participation of the next generation who are interested in East Asian archaeology, we decided to hold student-centered remote conference. The conference is open to all students of East Asian archaeology, does not require SEAA membership, and is free of charge.
This remote event will serve as an opportunity for all students of East Asian archaeology all over the world to discuss and present their work. It will be open to all students, regardless of whether they are SEAA members or not, and will be free of charge.
We look forward to receiving proposals for presentations or short films. We welcome all topics that highlight the growth and depth of East Asian archaeology as a field of study, and encourage submissions focused on adjacent regions such as Southeast Asia, the Pacific, and North and Central Asia. Examples of possible topics include, but are not limited to, archaeological scientific approaches to East Asian topics, theoretical themes that crosscut geographical boundaries, and studies of particular sites, regions, or cultures.
The length of individual talks will be approximately 20 minutes, although the specifics will ultimately depend on the final number of proposed talks. The conference language is English.
Information about SEAA, SEAA membership, and the Online Student Conference will be published on the SEAA website as it becomes available: http://www.seaa-web.org/
Update : The abstract submission deadline for the SEAA Online Student Conference has been extended to April 1, 2021.
