“Buddhist Hanging Scroll at Okcheonsa Temple in Goseong”

The National Museum of Korea presents gwaebul – Buddhist hanging scroll – from Okcheonsa temple in Goseong, Gyeongsangnam-do at its annual thematic exhibition of 2017. This scroll, created in 1808, is one of the rare Buddhist paintings produced in the early 19th century. The gwaebul is over ten meters in size. Multiple artifacts from Okcheonsa Temple are also exhibited.
